He is physician-certified in Acupuncture, Neuro-Emotional Technique, and Pain Management, and has averaged 100 hours of continuing education per year in various treatment modalities and techniques. This breadth and depth of clinical education and experience includes Neurology and Brain Function; Strength Training, Conditioning, and Sports Injuries; Contact Reflex Analysis; Total Body Modification and Natural Healing; Clinical Nutrition, Herbs, and Homeopathy; Graston Technique; The BodyTalk System; Yuen Method of Chinese Energetics; and Applied Kinesiology. Ph.D. work has been completed in Music Medicine, partially utilizing levels I and II of Music Evoked Imagery (MEI), also known as the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM). Working with physical therapist Melanie Buzek, Dr. Colyer has developed the Socratic Health Method, an Integrated Healthcare System of Protocols for assessment and treatment.

Professional Musican-Composer-Producer
As a musician, composer, and producer, Dr. Colyer’s classical training in piano, voice, and trumpet began with piano at three years of age. His teaching lineage reaches back five generations to Beethoven. He has performed three times at Carnegie Hall with a chorus and symphony, and internationally throughout the United States, Canada, and Japan in a variety of big band, jazz, blues, pop, and rock settings. Additional experience includes the Juilliard School, soundtrack production for one of the top artists in Japan, independent film scoring, and hosting his own radio show.
His broad exposure to numerous spiritual practices began at 10 years of age when he began performing (piano, voice, trumpet) in many different kinds of churches and places of worship. Dr. Colyer is a Taoist Initiate, has worked with shamanic traditions, and is an avid student of Dr. David Hawkins and Devotional Nonduality. ***
